I went to a fabulous restaurant in Westbrook CT (Cafe Rotier) that created the most amazing (of all things) crunchy brussel sprouts with truffle honey, parmesan cheese, etc. AMAZING presentation and use of truffle honey! One after another people at the bar ordered the dish and their eyes glossed over after one bite. D&D never skimps, and thier truffle honey is extraordinary. It is so addictive you may need a 12-step program after your first jar. Nom nom nom yum!
Pros
- Easy To Prepare
- Flavorful
- Non-Perishable
Cons
- Addictive
Best Uses
This was recommended by a friend who had a jar from the makers in Italy. I don't care that D&D repackages it, I've searched Italian specialty stores for weeks before stumbling over it at D&D. They have it, I will but it. If they sold an IV drip of it, I would purchase that product.
A dab of this on a good cheese, meat and/or cracker is a pair of rose-colored glasses for your taste buds. This honey will redefine what happiness is in your mind. You will begin feeling glee at even the sight of this jar of flavorful bliss.
Side effects: May cause excessive reliance on truffle honey and abject poverty to truffle honey addiction. Do not mainline truffle honey.
Pros
- All that I expected
- Earthy Aroma
- Fantastic flavor
Cons
- None at all
Best Uses
I used the honey back sweeten a small batch of mead, initial results are very promising.
