With 3.8 million tart cherry trees, Michigan produces 70 to 75 percent of the tart cherries grown in the United States. This makes a superb product, cherished by jam, jelly and preserve makers around the world. No artificial colors or flavors are added, while it is studded with small bits of black cherry.
