I expected the chocolate babka to have a hint of cocoa flavor. Boy, was I surprised! Dense ribbons of chewy chocolate goodness were in every bite. The load stayed fresh for several days. The cinnamon loaf, on the other hand, was a little dry and lacked pizazz.

This is the best I ever tasted. I put the cinnamon loaf in the freezer for 2 weeks. and just put it on the counter for an hour. No difference in taste. Fresh as ever.

I received this as a thank you gift for hosting some friends who came to MD for a conference. Since I am a chocolate hater I was gonna give it away to a friend but she insisted I eat it b/c she has had it before and said she could not forgive herself for eating it. Tried it... It was absolutely delicious. I finished the whole thing within 3 days

The chocolate babka was nice, if a bit dry, and the cinnamon one was way too overwhelming, a strong taste of cinnamon. I like cinnamon, but this was just too much for us.
Not sure if I would recommend it, I've had much better babkas, but the chocolate was certainly nice.

I gave these as gifts last year and everyone raved about them. In fact, one recipient told me I could give the combo set to her every year...forever. I simply had to try it myself. I'm lucky enough to live near a store and finally went to purchase my own. And then bought two more. And then two more. A wonderful go-to gift! And I have no idea how a slice (serves 12) is only 100 calories!
