Meet our Fish Expert, Bobby DiGregorio

Our Fulton Fish Market partner and seafood expert Bobby DiGregorio walks the market each morning before dawn, the same way he’s done for more than 40 years. He greets fishermen and women by name, some of whom have been bringing their catch to the Fulton Fish Market for several generations. Bobby has deep knowledge about seafood and quality—he’s able to look at two products that may seem identical and yet know which is superior.

He uses these skills to handpick the world’s premium seafood for Michelin-starred restaurants, and for the Freshest Catch Club at Dean & DeLuca. Bobby personally selects the most outstanding, domestically caught, sustainable fish, which is delivered fresh (not frozen) to your door that day. Bobby is also the author of, TUNA Grading and Evaluation: The Complete Tuna Buyer’s Handbook, and sometimes goes by the nickname Bobby Tuna.
