    Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

My husband and I go to a restaurant in San Francisco that has grits on their menu like these and everyone goes there for the grits. I looked around for a long time before I found yours which is the same as they use. They told me they buy them outside of California. I GOOGLED and found you. We love them and we can have them at home now instead of having to go out for breakfast on the weekends.

      Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

My local trader joes discountinued their stone ground grits, which were excellent! They were only $2.99/bag. I turned to D&D to try theirs as a replacement and I would rate them a step above Quakers instant grits, and in no way does the price justify this product!
Save you money and go to your local grocer. The grits will taste the same, you will still have money in your pocket and the package will be resealable. If it didnt cost me as much as the grits in postage, I would send them back!
D&D should spend more money finding who made Trader Joes grits and less on the cute packaging because the grits are pathetic at best.

        Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

I use grits in casseroles as a main dish, in my famous shrimp and grits, and we can't forget grits with country ham and red eye gravy. These are the best grits I have ever eaten. I'll NEVER use quick cooking grits again. Stone ground really does make a difference. They hold up well to make grit cakes to go with collard greens. These are just a great product.

Cooked correctly, these are the creamiest, and most superb grits I have ever had. And that comes from a southern guy. I would highly recommend them.

            Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

I always wanted to try shrimp and grits but all recipes called for stone ground grits and not the quick cooking kind you find in the grocery store. These grits, when prepared using the "Charleston Creamy Grits" recipe on the bag, are more flavorful...like the difference between a light beer and a stout.

These grits are delicious. I used them in a shrimp and grits recipe that called for stone ground grits, these were perfect. It's one of my favorite dishes.

I tried the recipe for creamy grits in a New Orleans restaurant's cookbook, and the results were a delicious part of the shrimp and grits recipe. For everyday use, I might try making the grits with milk instead of cream.

Tasty with a bit of butter and a sprinkling of cheese, but divine with sauced shrimp. These stone-ground grits are in a whole different league compared to instant-in-a-box grits you find at a grocery. Even Yankees who say they don't like grits will swoon over these.
