I decided to give these a try for Christmas after a friend recommended them. These cookies are sublime! Rich buttery taste, yet almost light and airy and with the perfect balance of sweetness. When I put them out with my other Xmas cookies, they were the first to disappear! These are sure to please the cookie fan in your life and with the moderate price, can also serve as a gift for any occasion. The only drawback that I can think of is that it's 10 grams of fat for every three you eat, but who cares when it's the holidays? : )

Born and raised in Japan, these cigar cookies were special treats when I was growing up. They are made from good quality ingredients, and they are very simple butter cookies. Yet, they are very elegant and sophisticated. I was so happy to learn that Dean and Deluca carry the cookies. I have given this to my Japanese friends as well as my American friends as a gift, and they were well-received.

I love GOOD FOOD and when I discovered these I thought I was in Cookie Heaven delicate not overpowering simple but elegent I send them as gifts as well and everone loves them Would recommend Try one and feel the pleasure of a cookie made for the gods and the ones found in the grocery store on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the higest grocery store 3 and Dean DeLuca a 10+
