Good tasty cake but overpriced for a very small loaf which definitely should have been soaked in more liquor. .

The fruit quality and flavor were good, however the loaf was dry and the size very small. For the cost, I would expect a loaf at least twice the size.

Comments about Robert Lamberts Dark Fruit Cake:

I've been searching for a fruitcake for an older family member who savored these as a child; over the years I've tried several brands but this year, Dean & Deluca's dark fruitcake rang the memory bell. My uncle was almost teary-eyed telling me how much he enjoyed it for its rich, flavorful texture -- light, not heavy, he said. I was so glad it gave him happiness at the holiday!
